Description
The world as we knew it has ended due to a deadly virus, and the survivors congregate in ‘havens’ that were once cities, but are now ruled by strength rather than law. Fadran is an accomplished gladiator in the Antaro Haven Fighting Rings, until one day he is called in for ‘science duty’, a lottery in which the unfortunate participants must submit to medical experiments in an attempt to change their DNA to withstand the ever-mutating virus.
The experiment goes horribly wrong and Fadran is transformed into the body of a woman. He quickly finds that he’s no longer physically strong enough to fight in the gladiator ring anymore and must find a new way to make living. A kind woman about his age, Elire, takes him in and teaches him to sew, allowing him to help with her business to survive.
But Fadran still longs for the glory of the ring, and begins to practice with his new body, learning to use speed and agility instead of brute force. Elire, who is slowly falling in love with her new apprentice, fears for Fadran’s life if he re-enters the ring in his new body… but can her love keep him away from his true passion, or is he destined to spill his blood on the Antaro sand?
